Shot Blasting Experts Norfolk Here at Anvil Engineering Ltd we specialise in a cleaning and preparing method called shot blasting where we use high pressure to remove anything undesired on your surface. This style of cleaning metal also strengthens and polishes all types of metal, especially the kind we use in our gates, balconies and handrails. By using this technique we can de-scale and de-rust any item on either a small scale or large surface area.
There are two types of shot blasting, wheel blasting and air blasting. Wheel blasting is the cheaper option of the two and covers the larger areas by using rotations in a wheel motion to remove the unwanted residues. Air blasting uses air compressors set at certain volumes and takes place in our blast cabinet or room to get a maximised result in a contained area. These methods of cleaning would be used by us before any welding or painting would take place on your materials, failure to do so would not leave the desired final result or be able to be a high-quality refurbishment and would cost more to repair at a later date. In order to re-paint all previous paint would need to be shot blasted off so that the paint would fabricate to the metal evenly. All of our shot blasting is completed to industry Swedish standards of SA2.5/SA3.
If you need any information on which is the best method to use for your desired needs then do not hesitate to contact us and we will offer the best advice we seem to fit the job.
